Fish Culture and Its Impact in Fisheries Across the Globe

Fish in every type of human culture is an ever-living symbol mainly because of their economic importance. In many countries, fish and the act of fishing are ever-present in folklores and mythologies. As mankind developed the ability to explore the deepest parts of the sea and discovered the many different species, they also recognized the value of fish as an inspiring source of beauty.

”The Old Man and the Sea” – A Classic Literature about Fish Culture

In the Ernest Hemmingway novel “The Old Man and the Sea” for which the American author won both the Pulitzer and Nobel Prizes for Literature, the narrative revolves around an aging Cuban fisherman’s passion for fishing and for the respect he had developed for the denizens of the sea. In the story, Santiago the main character had gone out to sea for 84 days without a catch to show every time he returned.

Determined to fight the bad luck that has beset him for months, he set sail on the 85th day determined to catch a giant marlin. Although he was able to do so with a great deal of struggle, Santiago still returned to the fishing village empty-handed. The carcass of the giant marlin that he strapped to the side of his skiff was devoured by sharks when he sailed back home.

Nonetheless, the skeleton of the 18-feet long marlin strapped to Santiago’s boat was enough to gain back the respect of the other fishermen. Although he somehow felt defeated, Santiago did not lose sleep over the experience, as the story ended with Santiago promising his young apprentice that they will fish together.

The plot is simple but it generally depicts how people in communities and even nations as a whole depend on fish and other marine creatures as sources of food, raw materials, ornaments, and recreational pleasure. So much so that overfishing and bycatch had resulted in the depletion, underpopulation, and even extinction of a number of fish species

Underscoring the Importance of Sustainable Fishing

Spanning thousands of years, mankind has imposed a great demand for fish and other creatures living in aquatic environments. Studies conducted by marine researchers revealed that such demand led to the development of technologies that allowed fishing practices to take away as much as 77 billion kilograms of marine life each year.

The findings, therefore, raised concerns that at the rate by which humans consume fish and other aquatic creatures, the collapse of natural fisheries would be imminent.

Economists, environmentalists, and conservationists agree that governments should take a more serious approach in managing fisheries by ensuring that only sustainable fishing practices be employed.

Sustainable Fishing encompasses not only the use of spears but also practices that ensure populations of fish and other aquatic life will continue to thrive in ocean and freshwater habitats.

One example of a sustainable fishing method is by making sure that specific species of fish are harvested during certain times of the year, to allow population growth. Catch and release is another sustainable fishing method but this also comes hand in hand with efforts to rid the aquatic environments of invasive species.

At present, many of us find fishing among the best recreation to reconnect with nature. And as the wilderness society encourage the younger generation to experience the traditional way of fishing, they also educate the youth about the value of sustainable fishing.

According to New York Times, Netrebko was photographed with a flag being used by Russian supported separatist groups. Her concert in Aarhus, Denmark for February 25 was cancelled as she was under pressures to publicly denounce and cut connections with Putin.

A few days later, the opera singer and her husband who is also in the same industry, Yusif Eyvazov, released a statement that they also want the war in Ukraine to end; but without mentioning Putin, Netrebko contends it is not right to force public figures to openly express their political opinions and at the same time, condemn their homeland because it is their freedome to choose what to believe.

A Great Tow-Truck Movie Idea From An Actual Tow-Truck Driver

Film Crew Shooting a Movie

Bob Beresford, a tow-truck driver with 11 years of experience at Central Montana Service & Salvage, announced Monday that he encompasses a great idea for a tow-truck movie.

“I do not know why, but the general public really hasn’t got that clear an image of what tow-trucking is all about,” said the 44-year-old Beresford, standing ahead of his 1995 Ford Super Duty. “With Towtruckin’, I’ve got an opportunity to alter all that.”

Towtruckin’, in line with Beresford, is “a classic David-versus-Goliath story.” Its hero, “Rob Relesford,” could be a gifted, idealistic young tow-truck driver trying to form it as an independent operator within the highly competitive world of towing and recovery. Faced with competition from Towco, a massive, multi-state towing corporation, Relesford must choose from continuing to eke out a lonely but proud existence or accepting a well-paid position on the Towco payroll. In the end, the selection is obvious.

“At the tip of the movie, there is a big, overturned tractor-trailer across the highway, and therefore the hot-shot Towco guys won’t move it for insurance-liability reasons,” Beresford said.

The plot of Towtruckin’ is what Beresford said he hasn’t fully developed. He has, however, puzzled out certain scenes, like the one during which Relesford pulls a good-looking waitress’ 1984 Sunbird off the median and gallantly refuses to simply accept payment.

Beresford said, “Rob could be a real American hero. Able to right a tipped truck or haul a stalled vehicle to a mechanic, he’s out there along with his wrecker all hours of the day and night. He’s the closest thing to the cowboy we’ve got left nowadays. But the purpose is, if something must be towed, by God, he’ll tow it.”

Though Beresford plans to color Rob as something of an outlaw, he said the character’s actions will always fall on the side of what is right.

His own personal experiences, much like the same experiences the people from Santa Clara towing also had, are what Beresford said he will likely incorporate into the film.

“With Boom tow, high-line towing, righting a chassis, Stampfel knew it all, he was just like the Yoda of Central Montana Service & Salvage. He died of a coronary failure in ’96. Within the movie version, the guy dies, too, but Rob continues to speak to him after he dies.”

Describing it as a “can’t-miss” concept, Beresford is confident in his vision for Towtruckin’. He does, however, fear that the film might be ruined by studio executives who don’t fully “get it.”

“There’s a right way and a wrong thanks to doing that film,” Beresford said. “Don’t get me wrong, this guy will have a pleasant rig, just like the three-axle Ford Super Duty I drive at Central Montana. But I could see some Hollywood type putting him in a very big 30-foot rollback tower with of these extra hydraulics and a crew cab which is quite crap. That’s not how it should be done. Towtruckin’ is all about the tow trucker, not the motortruck.”

Movie as a High Form of Art and Here’s Why

Art is quite a very broad term. Throughout centuries, it has gone through different meanings to different people. Art is quite complex as it is transcending cultures, language and time. This made art to be almost available everywhere from the creation of wholesale cabinets Texas, architecture or even in movies.

Art in Movies?

In movies, it might actually be deemed as the highest level of art. Then again, it will all fall depending on who is interpreting it. But for the sake of this article, we will establish a few reasons why movie is a prime example of art.

It Takes Years to Make

With movies running at average of 125 minutes, it is indeed a remarkable to complete such feat. Granted the length of a project does not always serve as the determining factor of the result, but the amount of commitment and dedication to put together the final product is something.

It Calls for a Team

Majority of art forms are requiring only the skill of the artist and on what he/she can achieve. With movies on the other hand, it requires teams of skilled and experienced individuals with one goal in mind.

Telling a Story

Every artist tries to tell a story or express their thoughts or emotions through their art.

Humans are communicating by stories and movies can tell various emotions to the audience and be able to connect with the viewers on different levels. Similar to a good photo or painting, movies might mean something totally different on the viewer.

Filmmaking Uses Skills Specific to the Craft

For as far as movies have been discovered, filmmakers are looking for new ways of improving technology to make their final film. The world of cinema literally created totally unique skill sets that are made strictly for cinema. Similar to inventing paintbrush, filmmakers hired technicians and scientist artist from different backgrounds in order to come up with tools that are necessary in making props, editing, shooting scenes, adding sound, adding visual effects, production and distribution.

Granted, these tools have been put into use in several other forms of media. Still, all these tools started to provide solutions to filmmaker’s challenges.

Replica of Ghostbusters Ecto-1 Automobile Stolen While on Display in Italy

The replica of the 1984 Ghostbusters Ecto-1 car, has gone missing and believed to have been stolen after it was displayed at the city of Lucca in Italy. Although it was only a replica, it was owned by a French fan named Eric Robin who spent more than ten years to locate and acquire the car and another two years to convert and restore it.

The replica car was actually discovered in his homeland in France, being used as a hearse by three villages before he came to own it. Recently, the car was shipped to Italy as part of a promotional tour of the forthcoming Ghostbuster: Afterlife movie. Fresh from a rust detailing job, the car is considered special as it is one of the few 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor replicas still in good running condition in Europe.

After the unfortunate event, Sony cancelled all schedules that included the car’s appearance, whilst calling on the italian public to immediately get in touch with them if they spot the vehicle. After all, stealing such a peculiar car can be difficult to accomplish without getting noticed. Some are even speculating that Ecto-1’s disappearance is all part of the promotional scheme to draw attention to the Ghostbuster : Afterlife movie slated for theater-showing worldwide on November 18.

About Ghostbusters : Afterlife

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a threequel to Ghostbusters franchise that is set for theater release on November 18. The original Ghostbuster was a hit because it was filled with special effects that were rare during that time that combined with comedy. Based on the movie’s marketing, it seems like the Ghostbusters: Afterlife is just Ghostbusters III with hints of popular shows like Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Stranger Things.

The director is Ghostbusters (1984) director Ivan Reitman’s first son Jason Reitman. The movie features Mckenna Grace as the granddaughter of science wiz Egon Spengler. The present Spengler family relocated to a small town, but they seemed to have awaken a supernatural force that will lead to events that will turn them into the new breed of Ghostbusters. The film is filled with references to the 1984 movie and maybe even include cameo appearances except from the late Harold Ramis and the reclusive actor Rick Moranis.

Are Modern and Contemporary Art the Same?

By the time you begin to learn about art styles and movements, it becomes pretty common to be confused about contemporary and modern art. Words like “modern” and “contemporary” are interchangeably used in describing something new or is on trend.

What is Modern and Contemporary?

Modern is often used in describing the recent or present times rather than the remote past. With this in mind, it is a fair assumption that modern art was recently created. But this isn’t the case. Modern art is referring to artworks produced throughout a specific time in the past. Believe it or not, many popular examples of modern art are nearly 200 years old.

When talking about art that is of the present, what we actually mean is contemporary art. Contemporary is the right term to use when describing art of the present time, or frequently, those made by living artists.

Differences between Contemporary and Modern

Contemporary and modern art came from different time periods. The latter is in reference to art that is made from the 1880s all the way to 1970s. Modern art is more recent compared to the classical or Renaissance period. It’s by no means the latest.

With contemporary art on the other hand, it can be described as the present work of art. Normally, those who are still creating arts and alive or those who’ve recently retired or died.

The Focus of each Medium

With modern art, it is mainly on painting or drawing. On the other hand, the rapid increase in technology has significantly changed the available mediums to contemporary artists since the time when the modernist period has ended. In fact, art is not only limited to tangible artwork pieces but you can also see one in form of digital arts, which perhaps can be seen in Minecraft survival servers.

Today, contemporary artists are bolder with their mediums. Just as mentioned, it can be any medium that you can ever think of from object design, video art, graphic arts, tech-enabled/digital artworks and so forth. To some, it can be a challenge to understand and classify contemporary art. Compared to art periods of the past, contemporary art isn’t united by a specific style and can’t be grouped easily to different movements similar to modern art.

“The Suicide Squad” – Critics Praise Director James Gunn for Superb Execution of Upgrades

Critics at Rotten Tomatoes who reviewed “The Suicide Squad” (2021) say that director James Gunn succeeded in combining action and humor with the right touch of edginess. Other critics say that it is definitely an upgrade from the first Suicide Squad movie released in 2016.

While most viewers had hoped for a newer storyline, the general consensus is that the continuous, fast-paced and violent action scenes and the sprinkling of humor here and there, atone for the lack of plot novelty. Nonetheless, “The Suicide Squad” (2021) is a film independent of the original as it doesn’t verify nor deny the events of the original, regardless of the storyline’s similarity with the 2016 source narrative.

”The Suicide Squad” – Plot Synopsis

“The Suicide Squad” 2021 edition still revolves around the group of incarcerated DC Comics supervillains pressured by the government to join a secret division called Task Force X. In agreeing to become expendable members of the black-ops team tasked to carry out seemingly hopeless missions, they were given a choice of being rewarded with a reduced sentence or be blackmailed to receive a greater degree of punishment Desertion is not an option because a bomb has been implanted on their necks to ensure cooperation, and at the same time keep them in line.

The new version focuses on a dangerous mission in Corto Maltese, a fictional island nation located near the coast of South America, and ruled by an anti-American government. The island harbors an active Nazi-era research facility, running a project called Starfish for the Corto Maltese government.

Wary of what the facility contains, the American government allowed a high-ranking national security official named Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) to send Task Force X on a covert mission to destroy the laboratory facility.

Notable as new addition to “The Squicide Squad” is idris Elba, who was originally tapped to replace Will Smith’s Deadshot character. However, writer-director James Gunn decided to instead add Elba via the supervillain character called Bloodsport, a.k.a. Robert DuBois.

Other supervillains included in the 2021 Task Force X line up include Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Polka-Dot Man (David Dastmalchian), Weasel (Sean Gunn) and King Shark (Steve Agee but voiced by Sylvester Stallone.)

There are certain circumstances where heavy duty towing services is required such as unfortunate road accidents, breakdowns, or rollovers because of the winding or turns in the road. If these happen to large vehicles, you will definitely need the service of a heavy duty tow truck that is specifically designed to handle larger vehicles and loads as well be able to do heavy lifting.

Tow Trucks For Different Purposes

Heavy duty tow trucks are really powerful, however in the industry of towing, tow trucks come in different sizes and are designed for a specific purpose. Hence, for towing companies to be efficient and effective at the services that they offer, they should have a broad range of tow trucks to use for different situations since some are built for maneuverability, some for light or heavy lifting, whereas others are for transport. With that, let’s have a look at the different types of tow trucks to give you an idea of what kind of towing service you need in the event you need one.

Light Duty Tow Truck

This type of tow truck is small and light. It is typically used for towing light and small vehicles, like motorcycles and sedans. Because light duty tow trucks are small, they are able to maneuver them in narrow spaces such as in small lots and parking garages. If a small vehicle gets stuck in a place where it is hard to reach but is flat and paved, a light duty tow truck is the best option for recovery.

Medium Duty Tow Truck

Medium duty tow trucks are ideal for in-between jobs. These trucks are fit for specific heavy recovery operations as well as for a change off if the load needs to be moved without delay. Since they could handle what a light duty tow truck can do, medium duty tow trucks are used particularly when there isn’t any issue on maneuverability. Medium duty tow trucks also have a different feature such as lowering platforms, low-profile trailers, and automatic trailers.

Heavy Duty Tow Trucks

As they are usually used for pulling and lifting, heavy duty tow trucks are really powerful and are used for and handle the biggest and heaviest jobs and recoveries. With their ability to haul big and heavy loads, heavy duty tow trucks can handle the whole load of another vehicle simultaneously.

Follow-Up to “Coming to America” Arrives at Amazon Prime as “Coming 2 America”

“Coming 2 America,” a follow-up to Eddie Murphy’s 1988 “Coming to America” was released by Amazon Prime, a day ahead of its original March 05 schedule. Amazon Studios bought the distribution rights to the movie since Paramount Pictures was unable to release it for showing in theaters, due to the still ongoing pandemic.

Critics’ reviews were a mixed lot but all have showered praises to the film’s Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter for her outstanding work. Working for the second time in creating costumes for the Coming to America franchise, Carter said that in creating for Black royalty, she made it so that it would depict a bit more of real African culture.

As far the film itself is concerned, Variety’s chief film critic Peter Debruge commented that the sequel is simply a modernised take of the original version; dishing out jokes, punchlines and propositions already used in the 1988 Coming to America movie. New York Times’ A.O. Scott was more subtle with his criticism; presenting a more positive review by mentioning that Coming 2 America is mostly funny without being inoffensive.

Coming 2 America Plot Summary

Megged under the direction of Craig Brewer, “Coming 2 America” is a continuation of Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy) story and his forthcoming ascendancy as king of Zamunda, a fictional African kingdom that remains free from colonialism. As Prince Akeem’s father, King Jaffe (James Earl Jones) is terminally ill, his dying wish was for the prince to bring home a son he unknowingly sired during his first trip to America.

Prince Akeem didn’t know that the drug-induced tryst he had with one of the American women whom his friend and aide Semmi (Arsenio Hall) set up for him, had produced a son. Arriving in America, Prince Akeem got in touch with his first born and only male offspring, named Lavelle Junson (Jermaine Fowler), a street-smart ticket reseller doing his best to make a decent living.

He and Semmi brought Lavelle, Lavelle’s mother Mary and Uncle Reem to Zamuda, where Lavelle wilt be groomed as the next Crown Prince and successor to King Akeem. The plot thickens once the story unfolds in Zamuda, where General Izzi, the dictator of a neighboring kingdom called Nextdoria, hae been harboring a desire to annex Zamuda to his kingdom.

Recent Art Findings Concerning Works of Italy’s Leonardo da Vinci

Two recent scholarly findings have surfaced about drawings sketched by Italy’s most famous Renaissance artist and poly-mathematician, Leonardo da Vinci. An Italian scholar believes that a drawing of Jesus included in a private collection in Lecco, is one of Leonardo da Vinci’s works. In a Vienna study, researchers discovered DNA along with microorganisms on a da Vinci drawing.

Italian Scholar Attributes a Drawing of Jesus to Leonardo da Vinci

A drawing of Jesus, kept in a private collection for years was identified by Annalisa Di Maria as a work of da Vinci. Ms. DI Maria who works at the Florence division of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Centre made the discovery in connection with a request for attribution concerning a drawing sketched in red chalk, presented by the Lecco art collector.

In an interview by the Italian daily newspaper La Stampa, Ms. Di Maria said that the Jesus image sketched in red chalk is a genuine representation of da Vinci’s artistic language. However, her attribution work is still ongoing as she has yet to establish the date the artwork was created by da Vinci.

Additionally, Ms. Di Maria told La Stampa that she does not believe the “Salvator Mundi” sold by Christie’s in 2017 for $450.3 million is a da Vinci work at all. Mainly because it reflects a different look from all other artworks created by the famous Renaissance master.

Still not all experts agree with the UNESCO scholar’s claim. Martin Kemp, an art historian who has dedicated most of his life studying the life of da Vinci told the Telegraph that he needed to see the drawing for himself. That way, he can assess whether the method used matches that of da Vinci’s left-handed manner of sketching.

DNA and Other Microorganisms were Found on Leonardo da Vinci’s Artworks

Latest research discovered human DNA, bacteria, and fungi on a few of Leonardo da Vinci’s notable artworks such as Uomo della Bitta and Autoritratto. According to El País, a Spanish newspaper, some of these may have been on the drawings while it was being created during the Renaissance period.

Various art restorers, microbiologists, historians, and others have teamed up in recognizing the particles existing in da Vinci’s drawings. The drawings contain a huge amount of genetic material known in the art world as a bio-archive.

Guadalupe Piñar, one of the microbiologists who spoke to the newspaper said they found traces of virus associated to pneumonia, and microorganisms that reside in intestines, as well as bacteria that inhabit human epidermis.

Multisensory Met :The Development of Multisensory Art Exhibits

In 2015, The Met collaborated with Multimedia Lab to explore ways museums can make the exhibits accessible to partially sighted and blind visitors.

Ezgi Ucar, a former Intern at MediaLab, Digital Media, shared the design ideas the Met approved for its Access Programs and Community Programs dubbed as The Multisensory Met. The goal was to widen the range of museum audience by including people with impaired senses or disability, regardless of age and background.

In The Met 150, Ezgi Ucar wrote descriptions of the suite of products that made some of Met’s collection accessible to everyone regardless of sensory and physical impairments.

Some Examples of Multisensory Arts That Formed Part of The Multisensory Met Experience

Multisensory Sculptures

Much too often, museum visitors experience the urge to touch or smell and even taste some of the objects displayed at a museum. Of particular interests are the beautiful sculptures in the African, American and Oceanic galleries, mainly because the indigenous artists who created the fascinating sculptures used different materials: wood, metal, shell or resin.

In addition, as the figurines were mostly found in burial sides, the sculptures contained dirt and clay from the burial ground and/or from riversides, as well as hammers, blades and similar hardware.

Ezgi Ucar replicated versions of certain figurines using the materials used and added to the sculpture, which visitors are allowed to touch, smell or taste. When touched, Ezgi’s replica statue will produce a buzz sound to indicate ongoing interaction.

Sound Paintings

Here, Ezgi used reproductions of some of The Met’s collection of paintings like Jean Monet’s “Hobby Horse,’ Ezgi transformed the reproductions into sound-sensitive art objects by attaching sound switches. The switch plates were cut into shapes based on the form of the major elements of the painting. When someone touches a particular element, ambient sound related to the element of painting is produced. As with “Hobby Horse,” the ambient sound for the elements include a child talking, the sound of rolling carriage wheels and of a neighing horse.

Scratch-and-Sniff Paintings

Using powdered scents, incense, and spices, Ezgi stamped the fragrances on different photos that form part of a painting. She took inspiration from the scratch-and-sniff stickers and used the same method that will allow visitors to scratch and sniff some of the photographed parts of the painting.

An example is the “Garden at Sainte-Adresse” by Claude Monet, on which Ezgi stamped floral, spicy cocoa and salt-water scents.

Some others have donated money to foundations that have been intervening on behalf of protesters who were arrested. To date, an outpouring of financial donations are available to use as bail money and/ or go back to continue supporting the George Floyd/Black Lives Matter peaceful rallies.

Some of the accounts to which donations go to include the Peoples City Council Freedom Fund, the Minnesota Freedom Fund, and the Louisville Community Bail Fund, Mivement 4 Black Lives, The Bail Project and the National Lawyers Guild.

Celebrities Who Actually Joined the Peaceful Demonstrations

Among Hollywood personalities who were firsts to join the protest marches organized in Los Angeles is Kristen Stewart and real-life partner Dylan Meyer.

On Friday, Jamie Foxx showed up in the streets of Minneapolis to join black community leaders and the crowd of protesters, but begged not to be interviewed as he was quoted as saying that he is not there as a celebrity.

The Masked Singer host, Nick Cannon also joined the protest in Minneapolis, wearing a shirt carrying George Floyd’s last words “Please I can’t breathe,”

Techniques Behind Awesome Car Scenes

Movie car scenes, particularly high speed chases, can make our heart pump with excitement because they look so dangerously real and terrifying. What could be the techniques used by filmmakers when creating spectacular action scenes inside moving cars?

Not a few of those involved in filming car scenes say that those are among the most difficult and expensive shots of modern action movies. There was a time when actors merely acted everything out, from driving the car to making viewers believe they are being chased at breakneck speed. Yet that was a long time ago, when a technique called chroma keying or chroma key compositing was the only and safest method to use in shooting footage of car scenes.

Overview of the Chroma Key Compositing Method

Chroma key compositing is actually a method used in creating visual effects, mostly as part of the post production processes. This technique is widely harnessed not only in movie making but in other fields as well, such as in video game development and in newscasting. Two images or video streams are fused together, by laying one on top of the other.

Earlier chroma key compositing methods entailed removing the background of one image or video clip, whilst using the other image or video as new background. The contemporary version of this approach, made the compositing or layering process easier by shooting or filming an actor or subject against a “green or blue screen.”

Post production technicians will then insert the desired background image or footage, as backdrop of the foreground actor or object in ways that will allow the green or blue screen to become transparent. The chroma keying process will then make it appear that the footage of the actor or object was filmed in a setting or location deemed appropriate for a particular scene.

In more ambitious film projects and in the most successful ones like the “Fast and the Furious” film franchise, other techniques using camera mounts and process trailers are the key elements for creating riveting car scenes with maximum reality.

A Brief Glimpse at How “Fast and the Furious” Movies were Made to Look Superbly Realistic

A film-making technique that can create realistic scenes on a different level, is one in which actors are actually riding in a stationary car, while acting in real time background. As an actor is made to appear as if he or she is actually driving a car, the filming process requires the use of a process trailer.

What is a Process Trailer

A process trailer is a trailer used as a low platform on which to load a vehicle where an actor or his/her stunt double, acts out a scene inside a non-moving car. The stationary car will still appear as a moving vehicle in the filmed footage because a tracking trailer tows the low platform on which the car is positioned. At the same time, the tracking trailer also serves as a moving camera platform, where the camera men take positions in front, on both sides, and on top of the towing vehicle.

The production team of the “The Fast and the Furious” franchise films takes pride in sharing that they also used a fleet of real cars to make every difficult car scene incredibly realistic. Dennis McCarthy, the lead car coordinator for four of the “Fast and Furious” series, said they actually purchased cars to partially or fully destroy.

As part of the filming processes, McCarthy’s crew built identical copies as backup vehicles to use, after one has been totally wrecked or damaged intentionally for a film segment. He also let out the secret that when it comes to buying junk cars, they usually have to meticulously comb classified ads.

They were able to track down cars in models and make that they were looking for, in the Mojave desert. Each piece cost them at least $7,000 plus cost of towing service san jose, because most of the cars they bought were actually “90 percent garbage.”

“Parasite’s” Theater and Streaming Performances, a Blow to Netflix’s Big-Budgeted Efforts to Win Awards

Bong Joon-ho’s multi-awarded “Parasite” made a killing at the box office after the South Korean film achieved a historic win in this year’s 92nd Film Academy Awards. The film also won the 92nd Film Academy Awards for “Best Director” (Bong Joon-ho), “Best Original Screenplay” (Bong Joon-ho and Han Jin-won) and “”Best International Feature.”

“Parasite” Performances Render Netflix’s Stance Against Hollywood’s Award Rules, Contentious

The Oscar award for best film and the stellar post-Oscar box-office performance comes as a blow to Netflix; making the streaming giant’s refusal to abide by the 90-day screening rule contentious. Despite “Parasite’s” availability for on-demand digital streaming at Amazon TV Prime and Apple’s iTunes, it did not stop moviegoers from flocking to theaters to find out why the non-English and foreign-produced movie is highly-acclaimed.

In the same week, Amazon TV Prime’s sales charts for their on-demand offer of digital streaming for “Parasite,’ as well as by way of DVD and Blu-Ray media, saw the film rising at the top.

Apparently, “Parasite” reflects the public’s enthusiasm and demand for high quality films regardless of how they want to view it; whether at theaters or in the privacy and comfort of their homes; or even both.

Netflix had previously stated that the company’s goal to win prestigious awards is not geared toward making a killing at the box office. The company is more interested in achieving subscription growth by providing quality content as soon as possible.

“Parasite” proved that even if a movie is available via streaming services, there is still a large population of viewers who find the cinema-screening experience quite enjoyable.

Neon, the New York-based American film distributor that acquired the rights to release “Parasite” in North America, from the 2018 American Film Market, is currently poised to expand the film’s showing in more than 2,000 locations across the U.S. As of this writing, “Parasite” has raked in as much as $44.3 million from the tills of North American theaters alone.

The Intricate Economics of Movie Industry

From afar, movie industry seems to be glamorous. Producers and celebrities are walking down the red carpets, showing off their awards and fancy vacations. While there are tons of money involved in the industry, its economics are actually quite complicated. Something that you will often hear if you walk through halls of a movie studio is, “nobody knows anything” and that is a fact. The public may be fickle, the industry’s in flux and like any movie, it is a risky yet rewarding investment.

It’s beyond what You Thought

Generally speaking, big and top studios are not disclosing the full budget of the movies they produce from development, marketing/advertising and production. This is due to the reason that it costs more than what you think to make a film. So to give you an example, the budget to produce Marvel’s “The Avenger” is reported to be at 220 million dollar mark. However, if you are going to factor in the advertising and marketing costs, that figure can easily spike up.

Advertising is Part of Everything

Without a doubt, costs for print and advertising alone are extremely high. A 15 million dollar movie which is deemed to be small-budget in Hollywood may have promotional budget that is way bigger than the production budget.

This is due to the reason that numerous films do not have an audience built-up like the ones that are based on best-selling novels similar to 50 Shades of Grey or The Hunger Games series.

Children’s movies or romantic comedy films have to work harder in promoting themselves through media advertisements and commercials, in which the costs can quickly add up.

After all, in pretty much everything, advertising is always a part of marketing to build the market and audience which will yield into profits. Much like the D2items for sale cheap you find online, it has gone through marketing on different platforms and channels to make sales.

Grinding It

As for movies however, regardless of the type of film produced, things similar to revenues and tax incentives from product placements help in paying down the budget. If they are given incentives in shooting a film to a specific location, then producers often hustle in doing so.

The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) Expresses Disappointment Over Netflix’s Release Strategy

John Fithian, president of NATO calls Netflix’s release of a film handled by a major director, a disappointment and a disgrace. According to Fithian, it is a disgrace because the streaming company is letting go of “significant money on the table,” by releasing “The Irishman” on a short window. He also said that it is a very big disappointment because a Martin Scorsese film will be playing at only one-tenth of the screens on which it should have played.

Video Game Art

A type of computer art, video game art make use of video games as the creative medium. Don’t Let Negative Feedback And Criticisms Stop You From Sharing Your Art To The World

Thanks to the digital age, there are many ways for talented artists to share their marvelous art to the rest of the world. No matter where you are, you can easily take a snap of your creations and post them in your social media feed. One of the top picks of artists today to share their gallery of artworks is Instagram, and that is not surprising given the millions of active users that the social media platform has, not to mention how easy it is to manage your posts with a user-friendly interface.

However, the downside of getting a wider audience for your artworks through the social media is the fact that you will not only get to meet fans of your art. It is very likely that you will see criticisms on your artworks. You cannot control what other social media users want to leave in the comment section, so you must be ready to read all sorts of criticisms regarding your art, with some probably too harsh for any person to handle. You should remember, though, that even the meaneast feedback should not stop you from doing what you love.

Take This As An Opportunity For You To Improve Your Craft

There are different types of art that many users share on Instagram. Photography is also gaining attention as the art of our generation. Take note that the public serves as a judge to whatever your artistic brain has come up with. If ever you find a critical comment about one of your works, you should know how to analyze it, whether the feedback is something that will truly help you to perform better next time. An easier way to do this is to see if the social media art critic has provided you with some suggestions on how you can improve your craft.

Of course, you can always explain your side to the commentor, especially if you believe that he or she does not have a complete grasp of the concept that you are trying to show in your art. You may take a few minutes to reply to it and try explaining your idea, albeit in a polite manner, so as to avoid leaving a grumpy or intimidating impression to other users.

Spot The Straight-Up Bashers In The Comment Section, And Learn How To ‘Block’

While there are people who try to give constructive criticisms, there are others who just like to be mean. No one will ever know what satisfaction it brings to these people when they try to bring down those who work hard for their passion. If only there is an Arlo vs Ring kind of security system in your Instagram comment section so you can easily filter out the bashers. Fortunately, you can do this yourself and just click on the Block option so those bashers can leave you and your followers.

Negative comments may stop your momentum to create more artworks, but if there is one idea that you are really excited about but it did not gain the kind of reaction that you are expecting from your followers, focus on the bright side and take a moment to do something more exciting the next time.

“Joker” Draws Positive Reactions on How Phillips and Phoenix Made a DC Dark Movie Appealing

“Joker” is Warner Bros. Pictures’ first venture into the DC Dark Movie concept and has received an 8-minute standing ovations after the movie’s August 31 premiere showing at the Venice Film Festival..The applause was directed at the excellent work achieved by director Todd Phillips and actor Joaquin Phoenix.

Nearly everyone was taken by surprise at how a DC comic book character can be a plausible subject of a film study that could leave adult film viewers feeling disturbed; realizing that such a character as Arthur Fleck may actually exist today.

The “Joker” in this movie is actually not part of the DC Extended Universe, but a character in an original tale spun by Director Phillips, based but not exactly lifted from Batman’s iconic archnemesis Joker. Dark, disturbing and sinister is how critics described the movie, aptly rated R for Restricted. The rating means viewers under 17 years old should be accompanied by a parent or guardian to see this film.

Yet the very darkness of the story and of Phillip’s Joker character provided the material that made the sterling performance of Joaquin Phoenix stand out and shine. In fact many raved that his acting is deserving of an Oscar award. Never mind if Heath Ledger’s multi award-winning portrayal of Joker had raised the bar, even if Ledger’s Joker character is the comic book criminal who exists in the DC Universe of superheroes.

Joaquin Phoenix made his own mark, in portraying the mentally unbalanced Arthur Fleck leading to Fleck’s transformation and eventual unhinging as the deranged Clown of Crime in a world not far away.

Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker Could Tap a Disturbing Feelingf

Joaquin Phoenix himself underwent physical transformation in order to effectively portray an Arthur Fleck type of character. He lost weight to whittle down his physique into a lanky geek filled with so much unhappiness and rage at how the world is treating him. As Arthur Fleck, his nearly emaciated ribs and shoulders protrude in trying to control his emotions of gloom and despair; struggling in a world that he used to imagine as one that would bring him happiness.

Yet you will be mesmerized at how Phoenix’s Arthur finally releases his rage. He unravels a monstrous criminal smeared with make up, topped by a mop of greasy green hair while wearing a contrasting stark orange and rust-colored suit.

As one witnesses the transition, it may leave a disturbing feeling of wondering if somehow, somewhere or at some point, one may have contributed to the unhinging of someone like Arthur Fleck.

The Artistic Procedures Behind Plastic Surgery

The performance of plastic surgeries conducted per year is growing in numbers as time goes by. As technology arise, there are also new procedures that have been developed. Since it is conducted through medical approach, it is categorized as a science. However, the procedures and some techniques of doing the surgery can be classified as an art, just like photography of our generation.

Most Popular Plastic Surgeries

Here are the three of the most popular and commonly performed plastic surgery. The achievement of the results vary on the procedures and techniques being employed per surgery.

1. Breast augmentation

In the United States, the most popular plastic surgery is the breast augmentation.

Primarily, the reasons behind undergoing with this procedure are balancing the size, restoring volume, or for aesthesis. This procedure is conducted by inserting an implant beneath the muscle of the pectoral area or at the back of breast tissue. By making incisions to create a location for the implant, the surgeons are incorporating art with it. Post-operative care include wearing of supportive surgical bra over a specified period of time for healing.

2. Liposuction

This plastic surgery method is performed by reshaping the contours of the body. Also by slimming the target areas, doing liposuction improves the proportion of human body. By the creation of small incisions, a thin, hollow tube is placed into the skin. Commonly, liposuction is performed at the thighs, hips and buttocks, back, abdomen, upper arm, chest, knee, neck, chin, and cheeks. Patients usually recommended to wear compression garments during the recovery stage. This will assists the body in maintaining the pressure on the new contours and to avoid swelling as well.

3. Rhinoplasty

The nose is the target area in rhinoplasty. This surgery helps to adjust the target area’s proportion. A cosmetic procedure of this method is performed for aesthetic purposes which can aid in correcting structural defects. Rhinoplasty can either be open or closed. For open rhinoplasty, incision is made across the skin of the nose which separates the nostrils. Meanwhile for closed rhinoplasty, making of incision is performed inside the nose. Usually, wearing of nasal splint within the first week is the typical recovery treatment for rhinoplasty patients.

Aside from the above mentioned plastic surgery method, blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery and abdominoplasty or tummy tuck are the other commonly performed plastic surgery procedure. Further, for more details regarding these methods, you may try to check plastic surgery tampa.

Spider-Man: Far from Home – After Endgame, Earth’s and Spidey’s Troubles are Far from Over

Don’t take the title as a spoiler, because Spider-Man: Far from Home is another sequel to the Avengers franchise, with mid and end credits scenes suggesting that more sequels will follow. As an aftermath of the Endgame episode, this film was able to assert its own qualities as an enjoyable and exciting movie, unaffected by how Avengers Infinity War and Endgame raised the bar as far as superhero action flicks are concerned.

Tom Holland’s Peter Parker Characterization is Still the Best

Tom Holland proves again that he is a better Peter Parker than Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield . Holland exudes the right blend of a secretly grieving and confused teenager portrayal, without projecting a sense of losing purpose in life.

A bit nerdy and but not a naive teenager who foregoes the chance of getting a call from S.H.I.E.L.D. — preferring instead to join the Europe field trip organized by his school. As if he has not been somewhere else more exciting when assuming his superhero persona.

Yet that is exactly what makes Tom Holland’s Spider-Man characterization more adorable than that of Toby Maguire’s Peter Parker who projects a sense of depression for not knowing what he wants in life.

Jake Gyllenhaal. Still Capable of Confusing People if His Character is Good or Bad

Another great role characterization is from Jake Gyllenhaal. Although it has been no secret that Gyllenhaal will be taking on the anti-hero role, the actor played his Quentin Beck / Mysterio roles with his usual flare for mixing good and bad vibes that would make situations complicated. In the Spider-Man movie, he could make a viewer wish the anti-hero stance will still be reversed. After, all even Peter Parker was so taken with Gyllenhaal’s Beck, he thought the man was the perfect hero figure who can replace Tony Stark.

Overall Impression After Watching the Movie

Spider-Man: Far from Home, with all its funny sides, is still serious about power that comes with great responsibility, and of having the courage and confidence to face one’s destiny.

Special effects and CGI are stunning, but take precautions if you are bringing along younger viewers. The violent scenes are so brilliantly delivered via 3D, the intensity of the scenes and special effects make them seem too real for young minds to handle. Still, there are amusing scenes to help kids recover from awry things that have been happening on Earth and to Peter Parker.

Violent scenes transpire as video game-like, which is a bit dizzying but probably unnoticeable for teeangers who are familiar with that kind of presentation. Anyway, film director Jon Watts was careful enough not to overdo them. Screenwriters Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers deserve praise for writing a plot and a set of dialogues that can hold the audience’s attention throughout the length of the movie.

Spider-Man: Far from Home is definitely a great and enjoyable follow-through for the Avengers’ saga. .

Walt Disney Pictures and Guy Ritchie’s Remake of 1992 Aladdin Animation to Hit Silver Screens Soon

Walt Disney Picture’s remake of the hit 1992 Aladdin musical animation, into a live-action fantasy musical will soon be released. UK cinemas are set to roll out the movie on May 22, 2019, followed by U.S. movie houses on May 24, 2019.

Using the same story line about a young riff raff’s adventure and romance with a beautiful princess, whilst also featuring the blue-colored Genie coming out of the mystical magic lamp, audience will enjoy yet another enthralling version of a popular “One Thousand and One Nights” folktale.

Guy Ritchie who is at the helm as director and co-screenplay writer to John August, added a new character, not at all included in the 1992 Aladdin animation.

Cast of Main Characters Comprising the 2019 Aladdin Live-Action Musical

Young Canadian actor Mena Massoud tackled the Aladdin title role, who despite his 27 years of age, was able to convincingly portray an 18-year old vagabond roaming the streets of the port city Agrabah. Captivated by the beauty of strong-willed Prince Jasmine, portrayed by Naomi Scott, the two makes a perfect pair despite the difference in their stature.

Will Smith took on the more challenging task of portraying the iconic Genie role previously handled with much aplomb by the late Robin Williams. Smith’s fans are bit bedazzled by his blue-all-over appearance, part of the daunting task of making his Genie character similar yet different from the much-loved Genie animation projected in the 1992 Aladdin movie.

Still, Will Smith commented that the idea of taking on a role made iconic by Robin Williams, was terrifying, saying

“Robin didn’t leave a lot of meat on the bone with the character.”

The 2019 Aladdin movie will also be bringing back the Sultan of Agrabah, the fiendish Jaffar and a host of supporting characters including Aladdin’s pet monkey bu and Jafar’s wisecracking parrot, Iago.

Aladdin 2019 Musical Scoring

The remake’s musical scoring was entrusted to no less than Alan Mencken, genius composer of the score for the original Aladdin movie.

Stil, the duo behind the hit musicals “La La Land” and The Greatest Showman,” Benj Pasek and Justin Paul was around to work with Mencken in producing additional songs and in rearranging the original scoring for the live-action musical.

The Most Famous Works of Oscar Wilde, The Plumber Turned Poet

Oscar Wilde was a British writer, poet, and playwright who immigrated to France. The son of a Dublin tradesman, he was born in 1854 and died in 1900. He is best known for two plays: “The Importance of Being Earnest” and “The Picture of Dorian Gray.”

Oscar Wilde, A Plumber, And A Talented Writer

Oscar Wilde started his career as a plumber in 1854. He earned a living by fixing pipes and other sewer systems in London. It was the beginning of his long career as a writer and literary figure. He was born in Ireland on October 16, 1854. He was a talented writer with a wild sense of humor and an outspoken approach to life. His most famous works include The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Importance of Being Earnest, and As You Like It.

While many plumbers today are ordinary as it seems, they draw inspiration from Oscar Wilde. They don’t just do plumbing but they also leave behind the art of perfect plumbing like the plumbers at Haarlem.

Oscar Wilde as the Plumber, what are the struggles of Oscar Wilde while being a plumber and a writer

Oscar Wilde is the most famous writer of his era. He is one of the most influential writers in the world. Despite being a well-known writer, he had to struggle a lot before becoming one.

Oscar was born in Ireland as Edward Wilde and grew up in England, where he was educated at Oxford University. He started his career as a journalist and wrote for various magazines including The Critic and The New Review.

He soon became known for his wit and satire, which made him popular among London’s upper class society. Why Anime Movies Should Be Considered As Art?

Anime

Heroes such as Transformers, Spider-man, Wonder Woman, etc. including Pirates of the Caribbean are attracting a lot of attention this summer (the slump of “Power Rangers” is regretted behind that!). If you are in the area that is still showing, it is a big hole work that you should take a look at!

In Japanese movies, manga and anime-original movies such as “Gintama,” “My Heart Wants to Scream,” “Tokyo Gyo Deed,” and “Naruto,” which makes Naruto Clothing sales get record high, are in great shape. Anime movies have been a big hit with Pokémon breaking away from the low-flying of the last few years, and maniac routes such as “No Game No Life Zero” and “Theatrical Student Council Executives” have also been clean hits. It is also an interesting event that minions are gaining momentum over Disney in overseas animation.

However, it is also true that many beautiful movies are as beautiful as flowers blooming quietly in such a gorgeous corner. This time, we will introduce you to some of the most artistic anime movies.

The secrets of Brendan and Kells, directed by Irish talent Tom Moore

It is no exaggeration to say that it is located at the highest peak of entertainment in Japan, but in many countries overseas it is the same as it used to be divided into either family-friendly works or artistic works using anime. However, since Japanese anime such as Studio Ghibli’s works have become widely accepted overseas, it seems that the number of such “movies” itself, which is not suitable to simply divide into two for entertainment and art, is increasing recently.

Tom Moore’s the secrets of Brendan and kells, whose Irish film song of the sea Uta was well received in Japan, is the first. It’s also Moore’s memorable feature-length debut in 2009, a masterpiece that was nominated for the 82nd academy award for a best-animated feature film.

Set in 9th-century Ireland. As large-scale construction continues to create a wall surrounding the kells abbey in preparation for the invasion of the evil Vikings, a famous monk has fled Scotland with the book of kells.

The book of Kells, a gospel written by the biography of Matthew and Marco, and now known as the “Most Beautiful Book in the World,” is now a national treasure of Ireland, but this film depicts the adventures of Brendan, a boy ascetic monk, and Ashlyn, a fairy girl, to complete this holy book.

The feature of this work is that it is based on the drawing that makes use of the Celtic pattern of the Irish tradition after all, and especially the Celtic pattern is drawn in “book of kells” comes to life.

As well as song of the sea, Bruno Cre, and Ireland’s leading music group “Kila” are in charge, and the compositions and drawings that the soul of their home country is in full of the world match beautifully, bringing excitement.

A short story, by Koji Yamamura, a talented man born in Japan, “A Dream with the Right and Left Eyes”

An artistic work that I would like to introduce from japan is “Koji Yamamura’s right eye and left eye dream,” which is nominated in the short animation category at the 75th academy award for “Head Mountain” in 2002 and shows nine short works by world-renowned animation artist Koji Yamamura, who has been a member of the academy of film and arts since last year.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Toronto reel Asian film festival, “Zodiac 1/3” (1/3) produced by the Chinese zodiac sign considered 20 years as “1/3 lap” from 1 lap in 60 years (16/ first opening in theaters).

Some of these movies tried to reproduce the “color fantasy” of Canadian animation writer Norman McLaren, which can be said to be the backbone of “McLaren’s Workshop,” with abstract painter Sanae on a longitudinal screen as a tribute to the American contemporary composer George crumb, Satie’s “water dream (1 proboscis) (1) (17/ first theater) which expresses the evolution from the birth of life in the sea to whales with music and video is an animated reproduction of the ballet music “paradox” composed by French composer Eric Satie as a surreal ballet image.

A total of 54 minutes for all nine works, and a collection of works that satirizes the heart in a truly easy-to-see but blissful time. Young people who are aiming to produce anime should also be sure to see it. I was fascinated by “Kojiki Hidako Hen,” and next I wanted to see “Kojiki” movies in feature films (or rather, I would like director Yamamura to participate in commercial-based animation films once!).

Documentary and animation artist
Hiroyuki Matsumoto’s two ambitious films

Director Hiroyuki Matsumoto of the exploration documentary “Jomon and Pacer Voyage” (currently showing at Shimokitazawa trim wood), which recorded the adventure of carrying out a four-year voyage from Indonesia to Okinawa in a handmade canoe and has been released all over the country since it was released in 2015.

He is also a director Matsumoto of and an animation artist, and two short films that he worked on are currently being screened in Shimokitazawa trim wood, Tokyo.

“In Goya Hoboken” (11/22 minutes) is a live-action animation of a boy and a dog learning and growing up on the importance of others in the ocean, with a flat doll on the glass. Snoopy fights with the kennel as a fighter, but this dog and boy travel instead of a boat with the kennel upside down, but
there is something that is somewhat smiley.

“Kioku Kiroku Now” (15/18 minutes) covers the testimony of the atomic bomb in Nagasaki by 95-year-old sister has Nishiguchi and has more than 1,000 consecutive photographs taken at that time Torres and draw pictures by more than 1,000 men and women of all ages in our city, Nagasaki prefecture (that is, citizens become an animator!). It is a miraculously beautiful and noble work that could have been done in the project of making the interview scenery and animation together (the movie can see both the production scenery document and the animation).

Two films full of experimental motivation were released until Friday, August 11, but the screening will be extended. The following dates are Saturday, August 12, Friday, August 18, Saturday, 19, Saturday, September 26, and Friday, September 1, so please watch it as soon as possible!

Ballerina, a 3d movie
that develops a girl’s dream

Finally, it’s a bonus, but we will also introduce the family anime movie “Ballerina” made by a French and Canadian joint work.

Set in Paris at the end of the 19th century, the world view that was often seen in Japanese girls’ manga, etc. Will be brilliantly and happily presented in 3d, where girls who grew up in the facility escaped from the facility to realize their dream of dancing as etoiles at the opera, entered ballet schools at the end of twists and turns and started intense training.

It is a work that will be a work that will develop future dreams while being pleased when a little girl sees it, so please take it with you.

There are various forms of animation in various forms around the world like this, but these artistic tastes are actually included as elements of entertainment, and in that sense, art, moe, family, adults, simple things, esoteric things, equally “enjoy” if you even face it with your heart, everything will be able to become entertainment.

May all animated films open the door to the hearts of the audience!

The Art of Video Games

video game-art

The Gaming world

It has grown into a multi-billion dollar business that has matured over the last few decades. Millions of copies of games such as Grand Theft Auto, Battlefield, and The Witcher are flying over the counter. However, many do not know that a growing group of art and game enthusiasts are also interested in visual design for video games.

Cook and Becker

Utrecht-based Dutch web player Cook and Becker is a world leader in this field. The company was founded eight years ago by Marten Brands and his younger brother Ruben. Both have a history of game development and tend to prefer visual arts. From their interest, they were looking for a high-quality printed matter of construction drawings, research, and conceptual drawings for video games.

However, this offer turned out to be so limited that it was founded by the Cook and Becker brothers. They work with illustrators, graphic designers, and artists around the world, as well as creative teams from large game studios such as Blizzard Entertainment, Guerrilla Games, and Bethesda Softworks.

Customers

Cook and Becker do not have many Dutch customers, with about 98% of its sales coming from abroad. France, Germany, and Japan are good markets, but 60% of sales come from the United States.

As a result, the Cook and Becker range consist primarily of products that may be offered for thousands of euros. And that’s probably also why Dutch consumers aren’t enthusiastic about it yet. The Netherlands is a little behind in this regard. For example, Dutch consumers have a much longer sales cycle than American consumers. They spend more money without looking at the product, like when salespersons sell CSGO skins for PayPal. Dutch people often want to check before buying anything.

Digitization

Utrecht also has a top-class location. Only the physical gallery model is obsolete, and up to certain price levels, e-commerce works much better, especially for international viewers. The gaming industry is experiencing rapid digitization. Many consumers choose to buy games digitally and download them directly to the console or computer. As a result, the number of physical copies is declining rapidly.

Movies

The company is also seeing expansion opportunities in the movie world, which, according to the brand, has become more and more similar to the game world in recent years. “The best game designers and artists are also working on, for example, Marvel and Star Wars blockbusters. It’s a kind of the same process. Today, 80% of blockbusters are computer-generated images.” The brand finds many opportunities for Cook and Becker. But he definitely likes one combination in the art of cinema. They have more to do with product rights, publishers, and portrait rights.

Game Revenue

In recent years, the game industry has grown exponentially. According to a report by market research firm SuperData, the gaming industry “and related industries” had sales of approximately US $ 120 billion in 2018. This makes the sport bigger than the film and music industries combined. Games like Fortnite have become particularly large in recent years. There, revenue is mainly generated by microtransactions, that is, in-game purchases. Sales of the game itself continue to grow.

Art in High-Pressure Cleaning

High-pressure cleaning with professional cleaning: “It’s an art”

High-pressure cleaning can be used for a variety of professional cleaning purposes, from post-disaster cleaning to deep cleaning in industrial environments, removing algae, soot, and graffiti from façade. Using also a leaf blower in sweeping the floor before using a power washer to clean it may do, check out Best Cordless Leaf Vacuum & Blower Reviews 2021 | Bestultrareviews. But how do you choose the right machine for your application? What should I consider before and during work? How about security? So how do you get the most out of your machine and get the best results? In reality, it’s sometimes more difficult than originally thought.

It’s art. Those who use pressure washers need to know what they are doing.

“It’s an art. Anyone who controls a device needs to know what he’s doing. For example, in SVS, you learn that you need to maintain the correct distance to an object. .. Don’t be too close. Otherwise, it will break. And not too far. Because it has no effect. You will also learn to take the right angle and how technology can make us artistic and creative in doing such. This is not only to affect the surface but also to prevent it from getting wet. Everything you spray on the wall will come down again. If you are wrong, you will get all that water on your face. The approach is identified with the approach.

Knowledge of various boards is also important. For example, it distinguishes between mineral surfaces such as stone and concrete and smooth surfaces such as plastic and aluminum. This is important for the pressure used, the temperature of the water, and whether or not chemicals are used. Of course, the type and extent of pollution also play a major role.

High-pressure cleaning applications are increasing

There are countless applications for high-pressure cleaning. Dekkers: “In the glass and façade industry, it’s, for the most part, used to keep protests liberated from green growth and eliminate spray painting. Of course, it doesn’t work with buckets and brushes, especially rough surfaces, holes of all kinds and If there are cracks, that’s not the case. Using high-pressure washing, it goes into all the pores, “he adds. “Then again, we use water to brush off poisons, yet we can likewise consider it to be a method for transportation when utilizing synthetics.”

Simple Reasons Why You Can’t Play MOV Movies on Your PC

Windows Laptop Updating

In most cases, if you discover yourself unable to open a selected file type on a Windows PC, it’s because you do not have the program that runs that variety of files installed on your computer. That is assuming that the PC does not encounter problems like a missing nwnp32.dll.

In the case of MOV files, that will possibly be Apple’s QuickTime Player, which is that the program that commonly plays these file types.

Once you installed Quicktime, you ought to be ready to click on the MOV files, and that they should play for you in QuickTime Player.

A second option is to put in VLC Player, which may be a free media player that may play almost any video format on that. It is often downloaded and installed from the subsequent URL: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

Right-click over the file you would like to play and from the menu that appears, select “Open With” so “VLC Player,” to use VLC Player.

Having said that, it should be stated that commercially made DVDs usually have two sets of files written on them, one that permits for computer-based playback and one that permits for DVD player-based playback. But that’s not always the case with non-commercially produced DVDs, which tend to accommodate only files for DVD player-based playback.

If your videographer friend can play the files successfully on her computer, and you can’t, then the likelihood is that the DVD only contains files that allow DVD player playback. Similarly, the sole reason your friend can view the videos on her computer is that she playing the DVD through the program that was accustomed create the videos for you.

Without knowing more about how the DVD was created, including what program was accustomed to ripping the DVD itself, it’s hard to produce much in terms of specifics. However, since you’re friends along with your photographer/videographer, it couldn’t hurt to ask her what program she accustomed edit and building your wedding video files. For you to be able to also watch the file on your Windows PC, ask if she will install that program onto your computer.

As for not having the ability to repeat the files over to your PC from the DVD: this could be the result of how the DVD was burned (i.e. ripped) to disc by your videographer friend.

Often, DVDs get written with some form of copy protection built into the files, which prohibits third parties from copying or accessing those files. That’s presumably the cause here.

As such, the simplest way around this is often to contact your videographer friend once more and ask her to burn a non-write-protected version of the DVD for you. Alternately, you’ll also ask if she will copy the source files onto a USB or other medium in order that you’ll copy the files to your PC.

Understanding Data Science And Art

There has always been a lot of talk about whether and how artificial intelligence can start making art. And of course, it can. After all, as is well known, everything can be art! However, there is too little discussion about how a data scientist can help the arts in relation to study and research.

Data science combines multiple fields including artificial intelligence (AI), statistics, data analysis and scientific methods to extract value from data.

Art as data

data scientist

You are currently seeing more art digitized than ever before, with art available online and libraries giving you access to texts as online and downloadable copies. It has even spawned a number of really amazing collaborations with other popular online areas. For example, many world-famous art galleries have chosen to make their collections available in the game Animal Crossing. This means that players can have virtual money in their virtual home.

By making art available in this way, it becomes data. On the one hand, this can create a lot of new problems for institutions that are traditionally unprepared.

Digital art is based on technology. It’s audio, video, animation, immersive experiences, GIFs, code, hybrid mixes of physical and digital, and more. It requires the existence of technology like hardware, storage drives, software, the Internet, media players, etc. And therein lies the issue. Given the speed of change, it is not an issue of whether the technology fails or becomes obsolete, but when.

There are of course a number of challenges, but also enormous potential. This is because digitizing a work of art as part of good practice means cataloging information along with the art itself. So don’t just scan a portrait and put it online, but also include metadata. This information includes dates like the artist. This allows the art to be stored in an organized way as a digital version of the manual cataloging used previously.

Art and data: A simple look at why this is useful

This metadata allows researchers to edit the art very easily and quickly, which is much more complicated and time-consuming to do manually.

For example, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s website offers a search function for their collections. This allows you to quickly search for an artist and see the results broken down into a number of filters. This gives an instant insight that would otherwise require a lot of manual sourcing and knowledge.

12 Things That Makes Bar Movie Scenes Unrealistic

Bar

Of all the gin joints all told the towns all told the globe, she walks into…one that appears like that?! I’ve got no idea what gin joints sounded like back within the 1940s but I’m guessing it absolutely was nothing just like the obvious studio set which served as Rick’s Café Américain in Casablanca. Hollywood could also be great at creating a verisimilitude of nearly everything–Wall Street, the western United States, even outer space–but there’s one setting they always fuck up: bars. Regardless of the standard of the movie, regardless of the pedigree of the cast and crew, cinema simply cannot depict a bar that appears and sounds like anyone you have ever visited within the universe.

1) THEY’RE TOO BRIGHT

As bright as big-box electronics stores, Movie bars are always lit up. Maybe if we gave the impression of Ryan Gosling or Emma Stone in Crazy Stupid Love we’d move to crazy stupid bright bars as their characters do. Unfortunately, we do not and, thus, bars within the planet are dimly lit to help our romances (I mean, beer goggles).

2) THEY’RE OVERLARGE

Bars within the planet are cramped and crowded places where people need to shuffle sideways simply to urge from one side to the opposite. Movie bars are big as gymnasiums: Cafe Americain, Jack Rabbit Slim’s (Pulp Fiction), The Titty Twister (From Dusk Till Dawn), as movie sets need ample space for cameras and equipment. They also use props like space-saving acrylic and bar stools that avoid occupying a lot of space. Why it takes Henry Hill an honest minute-and-a-half to steer from one side of The Bamboo Lounge to the opposite.

3) THEY’RE TOO QUIET

Now I do not particularly like loud bars. It’s one reason I’m going during the “real” happy hour. During quiet hours are loud, even quiet bars. Not within the movies though, where characters like Will Hunting easily have lengthy conversations using their “inside voices.”

4) THEY’RE TOO GLAMOROUS (OR WAY TOO FILTHY)

Movie bars are never the sawdust and beer-soaked places most people frequent. Even their bathrooms are spotless places for doing all of your makeup…or coke. (I said goddamn!) That’s another excuse real-world bars are so dark–you ever stumble into one when the house lights are still up? It’s sort of a biohazard scene.

5) FELLOW PATRONS ARE NEVER NORMAL

Recreation, Interaction, Indoor games and sports, Games, Display device, Conversation, Barware, Drinking establishment, Tavern, Pub,
Besides the most character, movie bars are always crammed with the largest degenerates, perverts, unemployable, alcoholics, and all-around fuck-ups in town.

6) THE BARTENDERS ARE WAY TOO COMPETENT

Let’s be honest, despite all the highly-skilled mixologists within the world today, the barkeep at your average playground remains a twentysomething bozo who can’t remember the contents of a rum and Coke. Movie bartenders, on the opposite hand, aren’t just brilliant drink makers, they’re sages, ready to offer stunning insights about the globe after just some moments of chatting with a stranger.

7) THE BOUNCERS ARE WAY TOO MENACING

Whenever I encounter a bouncer plunked ahead of a bar, he’s usually too busy playing QuizUp on his Droid to hoist his fatass of the little stool to test my ID. But within the movies bouncers are men so musclebound, so focused on the work, they must surely be working security for the Sultan of Brunei, not guarding the Roxbury.

8) EVERYONE WANTS TO FIGHT

Then again, maybe these menacing bouncers are necessary, because, within the movies, people don’t head to bars to socialize and find shit-faced, nope, they’re only there hoping to fight. An accidentally spilled drink, an incidental bump or shove, even asking someone about their former profession as a shoeshine boy will sooner or later result in a fistfight at a movie bar.

9) CUSTOMERS CAN DO AS THEY PLEASE

they’re kinda being drunken assholes in my book when customers are ostensibly being “nice” in movie bars, though. If two patrons jumped on the bar without permission and loudly started singing “Bennie and the Jets,” impeding every other customers’ ability to induce to the bar and order a drink, On what planet would anyone be pleased?

10) GETTING A DRINK ISN’T THAT IMPORTANT

Then again…getting a drink just isn’t that important for movie characters. Within the universe, sure, people move to bars to mingle with friends and toy with the alternative sex, but they’re mainly there to drink. And, if a bartender hasn’t acknowledged us after some minutes we start losing our shit. Not in movie bars, where people have all the time within the world to look at their bartenders dick around with bottles or dance atop the bar.

11) BUT GETTING “A BEER” IS

Of course, movie bars are the sole place that, when your bartender asks you what you would like to drink, you’ll answer within the generic…and, amazingly, he’ll still go fetch you something. Even Stanley Kubrick, famous for his excruciating attention to detail, was guilty of this. I used to be stunned the primary time I watched Eyes Wide Shut as Tom Cruise’s Dr. Bill character took a seat at the Sonata Cafe and ordered “a beer” without stating a brand.

12) …AND THEY’RE NEVER CROWDED

Finally, movies want you to believe their characters only soak up bars during hours when they’re completely empty. More likely, the assembly simply doesn’t want to pay any extras to fill out the scene.

Experiencing Movies Like ever before in IMAX Theaters

IMAX definitely ups the AV quality of what traditional cinemas provide. The movie-watching experience in IMAX is significantly improved! Because of this, the ticket cost for an IMAX movie are oftentimes higher compared to regular movies. Despite the fact that IMAX theaters were initially launched in 1971, it’s only in year 2000s when it gained traction and attract public’s attention.

The IMAX Experience

Aside from the best laptop for architecture that IMAX is using (in this context of course, architecture is the development of file formats, screen sizes, sound and the likes that makes an IMAX), there are numerous intangible and tangible elements that contribute to its success.

Screen Size

You can immediately notice an IMAX cinema or theater. It has this huge plain screen and circular dome that nearly covers the entirety of the theater. This as a result makes the viewers to feel as if they are part of the film. In normal theaters though, it only has a regular and plain screens with limited pixel resolution.

With IMAX, screen sizes are extremely huge, which are normally, 6x bigger compared to the typical theater screens.

Film Formats

With typical film formats, it is either 70mm or 35mm. Unlike with IMAX film formats, this is 15/70 mm. What this actually means is, every frame is 15 perforations wide and 70mm high. Also, it means that the film size is roughly 10x bigger compared to the standard 35mm movies released in theaters. Anyone who is watching in such theater can expect remarkable visuals and clarity.

Sound

The nice thing about IMAX is that, it has its patented 12.1 channel 15000-watt digital speaker coupled with wider frequency response. There are audio or sound engineers who specialized in creating speakers that pack more power output on top of the crystal quality sound it delivers. The geometry of the theater also adds to the overall experience. The sound travels throughout the auditorium which makes the movie more immersive and enriching.

Digital Remastering

Majority of the IMAX movies that are released today are going through digital remastering or also known as DMR. This turns a powerful film already into a remarkable IMAX film along with improved sounds and images.

Video Game As An Art: Rbx

Art is initially based on the purely creative process. This is the reason why most people would instinctively affirm that video games are definitely an art. Someone creates something and uses their own creativity to do it, the result is art. And that’s why it’s completely obvious. Game development itself is more than a creative process in which worlds are created, characters come up with and all kinds of ideas are put into practice.

Can Video games like Robux consider an art?

While you are watching a painting, a piece of music or even a film, which is sometimes also considered to be art, can simply let itself be felt. This is seldom the case with a PC or video game such as rbx free.

While the formal term speaks of art when work has characteristics that can be used to assign it to a fixed type, the material term art assumes that art is present when the work is the result of a creative design. The artist brings his experiences, impressions and experiences to view. When it comes to the open concept of art, you speak of art when the work can be interpreted. So you see, there is no question of purely passive observation.  From a legal point of view, one could now say that video games are definitely an art.

The subjective view of things: Why Robux games are art

rbx free

Now you can throw yourself into the most varied of definitions and listen to arguments for and against from important personalities. But in the end, it is purely subjective feelings that count, especially with regard to a question that cannot be directly addressed rather a yes or no answer. The majority of the gaming community, if you ask about it, now sees their own hobby as a kind of art. There are also some games that speak for this view of things. They ultimately go more in the artistic direction than other titles.

But it is not just the visual aspects that lead many players to declare games as art. Because just like literature, which is considered an art form, video games can of course also come up with a gripping and good plot and narrative form.

For example, UK-based Zoe Sugg or, Zoella, has over 6 million followers on her station, and roughly 2 million viewers each clip. She has used that popularity to group up with innumerable style retailers, and create millions selling as an outcome.

Bear in mind, optimize your vlogging on YouTube, compose a blog, and discuss to find the very best SEO outcomes.

The Way to vlog: Key Tips for business video sites

As people without blogging expertise can battle to produce ideas for their first few articles, learning how to vlog does not mean you immediately have innumerable sources of inspiration to get you started. Even though vlogging services can assist with this, there is still a possibility that you may want to produce ideas by yourself.

To assist you on the ideal path towards vlogging achievement, we have put together some of our favorite ideas, for the way it is possible to use video marketing to improve your traffic, enhance your client relationships, and build your new.

  1. Contain customer testimonials

First things first, customers shop more online now than previously. That means they should be certain they can trust that the brands they are buying before they invest money. The simplest way to be certain that your clients trust you is by using reviews. Adding customer testimonials for your vlogging plan is particularly successful, as your new customers can observe actual, real men and women who have interacted with your brand. It is true, believable, and good for establishing trust.

  1. Introduce Your Business

Wish people to feel connected to their brand? Vlogging will help. You can build compassion by introducing the people behind the business, with videos that show off your team members, and allow your clients to get to understand them. This functions as a kind of”behind the scenes” look into your organization, which puts human faces on your brand, and aids you to showcase your”relatable” side.

  1. Feature interviews

As you’re in the process of presenting your business, why don’t you take it to another level by vlogging a meeting with business specialists, managers, and CEOs? These thought leaders may have very interesting things to say about your business, and the business generally. Interviews help further humanize your brand and set you apart as someone with an actual, authentic understanding of a topic.

  1. Vlog sites

Websites continue to be a wonderful approach to reach out to your viewers, but some folks would like the chance to”watch” their information, instead of reading it. Bearing that in mind, just narrating your most recent blog articles can be sufficient to enlarge your vlogging portfolio and provide clients a broader choice of articles to choose from when engaging with your brand.

  1. Vlog your day in the workplace

Finally, why don’t you give your clients a”day in the life” by letting them walk on your office with you, and learn what it is like to operate in your business? Show them what sort of responsibilities that you have, or discuss a Facebook Live feed to the regular happenings in your business. Just try to prevent grabbing the boss yelling at a worker on camera cringe-worthy things like that may be detrimental to your brand new.

Bear in mind, consistency is going to be the trick to your video blogging achievement. The more often you post video sites, and the further you get accustomed to vlogging, the faster you are going to get popularity. Bearing that in mind, you always need to be thinking about new themes, or reaching out to marketing specialists who can allow you to complete your vlog strategy.

WHAT ARE THE TASKS OF A FILM PRODUCER

Film producer sounds like an absolute dream job for every cineaste. But let’s be honest: Do you know exactly what a film producer does? And how do you actually become a producer?

What is a film producer?

Actually, there is not one film producer, but several different ones. In principle, producers are responsible for a film project: they not only manage and procure the necessary budget, but are also responsible for the sets, filming locations, equipment, props and costumes and coordinate the film team. So they make sure that the film project is running.

Since one person could not do all this, there are several producers who take care of the different areas of responsibility. Behind every film and every TV show is a whole team of producers who manages the artistic and financial goals of a project. In the following we want to introduce you to the most important producers.

The executive producer

He is called Executive Producer and has overall responsibility for a film project. So he is there from start to finish: from the project development to the filming preparations and the shooting up to the completion.

Above all, it ensures the procurement and provision of the necessary budget. Many executive producers are investors at the same time and put their own capital into the project. They also take care of the drafting of any contracts. So the executive producer is something like the head of the film project. Sometimes there is more than one, and in many productions well-known actors or directors act as executive producers. This not only provides a good financial injection, but is also a good promo.

The line producer

While the executive producer raises the funds, the line producer is responsible for managing the budget and drawing up schedules. A stressful job, because the line producer makes sure that everything and everyone is in place.

Above all, a line producer needs logistical talent, because he coordinates not only the timing of the project but also all employees. With it stands and falls the successful production of a film, that is why a lot of commitment is required in this job. Of all, the line producer probably gets the least sleep.

The Associated Producer

This term refers to a producer who works with other producers. Mostly the line producer, to whom he submits proposals and recommendations on the development process. The Associate Producer, as he is called in English, must be a real multitasker.

On the one hand, it collects and organizes information in case of investigations for production. In television productions, for example, he arranges interviews with experts and guests. It also checks statements and opinions for accuracy. This is particularly important on political and sensitive issues, so as not to jeopardize production and the final product.

The associate producer sometimes intervenes in the script and is involved in its development. He should also be able to write, because he is allowed to improve and actively co-write. He is also responsible for the sets, music, props and takes care of the needs and requests of the production team. If an actor has an important concern, then this usually ends up with the associated producer. For many, the position is an important step on their producer career ladder.

The Postal Producer

As soon as the film is shot, the post producer comes into play: he is responsible for the coordination of the editing, the special effects, the sound editing and all other post-processing. Under his direction, the film is only finished in the first place.

He, too, draws up timetables and ensures that they are adhered to. This includes test screenings and the release of the finished film. This process can take several weeks.

Popular Games with Movie Adaptations

The Witcher

Henry Cavill takes on a new role of Riva’s witch Geralt for the new series on Netflix. Although The Witcher series is not based on the games, but on the books of the author Andrzej Sapkowski, fans of the cd Projekt series are looking forward to some familiar scenes. For example, the famous bathtub scene from Witcher 3 is not to be missed.

GameStar’s Maurice Weber is impressed by the Witcher series on Netflix in his extensive series review for the first season, but it is far from perfect:

The series has many strengths, no question. It is in many ways a great implementation of the Witcher fabric, especially from Geralt himself. It shows us a cool fantasy world and tells some interesting stories in the so many. But the story, though often cleverly constructed, just doesn’t flow as well as it should.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Sega’s popular Jump ‘n’ Run game Sonic the Hedgehog is filmed as a mix of real-life film and CGI characters, with an animated title hero. Many other well-known characters and characters from the classic game also get into the film story, like the very popular villain Dr. Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey.

However, Sonic’s new design with fur and human teeth made the fans of the game furious. The director of the film promised that he will do some adjustments.

Monster Hunter

Paul W.S. Anderson, the director of the six-part film adaptation Resident Evil, devotes himself to another template of Capcom: His wife Milla Jovovich also takes the lead role in Monster Hunter and takes on monsters and gigantic beings.

According to the first story details, the Monster Hunter film is about a UN military force (which also includes Milla Jovovich) who suddenly find themselves in a different dimension and meet giant monsters and their hunters.

Uncharted

Sony is known to be working on a game adaptation of its successful series Uncharted. The film project has been in development for some time and has already undergone some reshuffles.

In the meantime, the plot of the film has been adapted: instead of the movie, as in the game series, the young Nathan Drake and his first great adventure are at the center of the story. The young hero is played by Tom Holland, who is currently swinging through the Marvel movies as a young Spider-Man. At his side, Mark Wahlberg takes on the role of Drake’s mentor Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan. A further cast has not yet been determined.

Call of Duty

A feature adaptation of Activision Blizzard’s successful Call of Duty series has also been planned for years. In the meantime, the game developer has founded his own film studio and is planning an extensive film universe.

The first Call of Duty film is currently in the works, the script is ready and filming is scheduled to begin in early 2019. It is directed by Stefano Sollima (Sicario 2), while the screenplay is directed by Kieran Fitzgerald (Snowden). No line-up has yet been determined.

Meanwhile, Activision Blizzard has announced a second Call of Duty film, for which Joe Robert Cole (Black Panther) will write the screenplay. There is no director yet. Not much is known about production, either.
