Residenza d'artista 2009: Nine Budde

L'artista che è stata in residenza da aprile a luglio 2009 presso la Fondazione è Nine Budde, artista che vive e lavora a Berlino. La residenza d’artista è stata realizzata con il sostegno del Comune di Padova – Ufficio Progetto Giovani, e la collaborazione di Circuito GAI e Associazione Pépinières Européennes pour Jeunes Artistes.

Durante i tre mesi di lavoro, Nine Budde ha realizzato due progetti, nati dall'esigenza dell'artista di entrare in relazione con il territorio e la realtà socio-culturale nella quale ha vissuto. L’artista ha presentato due video, You and Me e Shall I ignore the youth? che si inseriscono pienamente nel suo percorso di ricerca. Indipendenti l’uno dall’altro ma allo stesso tempo tra di essi comunicanti, si costruiscono sui concetti di spiritualità e di educazione, sul rapporto tra realtà tra di loro in opposizione.

In collaborazione con Progetto Giovani del Comune di Padova e il Circuito GAI, fondazione march è entrata a far parte del circuito Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes, per promuovere la mobilità internazionale dei giovani artisti. Da 17 anni, Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes ha lo scopo di promuovere l’emergenza e la mobilità dei giovani artisti su scala internazionale. Il tipo di residenza a cui fondazione march ha aderito è Open Art Programme, dedicato a giovani artisti che vogliano scoprire nuove forme di espressione collaborando con differenti orizzonti artistici e con nuovi contesti culturali.

Per il 2008-2009 Pépinières ha lanciato un nuovo programma di mobilità dedicato a giovani artisti, a cui fondazione march ha aderito offrendo una residenza per un artista per il periodo maggio - luglio 2009.

The artist in residency from April to July at the Foundation is Nine Budde, artist who lives and works in Berlin. The residency project has been realized with the support of Comune di Padova – Ufficio Progetto Giovani, and in collaboration with Circuito GAI and Pépinières Européennes pour Jeunes Artistes.

During three months of work, Nine Budde has realized two projects, risen from the artist's need to relate herself with the territory and the socio-cultural reality in which she has lived. The artist has shown two videos, You and Me and Shall I ignore the youth? that perfectly fit her research path. These videos are indipendents one form the other but at the same time they communicate each other. They are built on the concepts of spirituality and education, on the relation between their opposit realities.

In collaboration with Progetto Giovani for Youth Policies Office in Padova, fondazione march joins the international network Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes, to promote the mobility of young artists. During the last seventeen years, the Pépinières Européennes pour jeunes artistes have been fostering and supporting promotion and mobility of young artists amongst the European artistic scene. They launch a new experimental mobility programme for the period 2008-2009, conceived as an introduction to a more ambitious upcoming programme including mobility, distribution, co-production and training activities.

The kind of residency chosen by fondazione march is Open Art Programme, which is developed with creative sites that have a reputation and label of excellence in their particular field and prioritises trans-disciplinary projects. It targets young European artists who are willing to risk the discovery of new forms of expression by collaborating with other creators from different artistic horizons. By blending their experiences, they invite the participation of a diversified public in their artistic projects.
